How it Works
Clear advice and transparent fees
We start with an open discussion of your goals, dreams and aspirations. We need to know about you and your individual needs before we can start to make any recommendations.
An increasing number of people are coming to us for a second opinion. They are already receiving advice but need to make sure their portfolios are being properly managed. We critically review their investment strategies and assess how fees, asset allocation and attitude to risk are affecting income generation and capital growth.
It doesn’t matter where you are with your financial plan, Completely Financial apply the same process of clear impartial advice, robust research and transparent fees as laid out below.
Stage 1: Initial Meeting – FREE
Before we meet, you will be sent a link to our secure online portal. Here you can provide details about yourself, the planning you have done so far, and your objectives for the future. The portal will also ask you to complete an income and expenditure section, which is key to understanding the level of income you are likely to want in retirement.
The more accurate the information you provide, the more value you will get from our initial meeting. From this meeting, we can establish whether we can help you and whether we are the right fit to work together. We will outline how we work, what you can expect, and be fully transparent about costs.
Stage 2: Your Retirement Plan – £1500 (fixed fee)
Once we have gathered all your financial information from you and your providers, we will carefully analyse your current position. This includes reviewing:
- The service, charges, and performance of your existing arrangements
- The level of risk you are taking and whether it remains appropriate
We will then model your retirement based on what you have already put in place. This allows us to show you:
- Whether your current savings and investments are on track to meet your retirement goals
- If you need to add more to your retirement pot
- Whether you may need to delay retirement — or, in some cases, whether you could even bring it forward
Your retirement plan will be detailed, but we will also present it clearly — with easy-to-read charts, summaries, and recommendations so you can see at a glance what your future could look like.
Stage 3: Implementing Your Plan – £1000 (fixed fee)
With a clear plan in place, this is where we put it into action. We will:
- Manage the transition of your portfolio into the most appropriate investments for your retirement goals and risk level
- Handle all the paperwork on your behalf to make the process as smooth as possible
- Keep you informed along the way so you always know what is happening with your money
This stage turns your retirement plan into reality, ensuring your finances are structured to give you the best chance of achieving the retirement you want.
Stage 4: Managing Your Plan – 1% of the funds under our management (tiered at higher levels)
By this stage, everything is working as hard as it can for you and aligned to your risk profile. But financial planning is not a “set and forget” exercise — it’s essential to keep your plan under regular review.
Whether you are still building towards retirement, about to retire, or already retired, we will make sure your plan evolves with you. Each year, we will sit down with you and carry out our 10-point financial health check to confirm you remain on track for the retirement you want.
This ongoing service means we can make adjustments along the way as markets, tax rules, or your personal circumstances change — ensuring your plan always stays aligned with your goals.
